-went to buy my watch today, since i was in the bras basah area with dear to watch dark knight at marina square.
so we went to bras basah, and i looked through all the watch shops at bras basah.
originally, i wanted to buy the casio edifice, which looks smthing like this
Casio Edifice EFX-500SP-1AVDF
DAMN CHIO LAH... sobz
but then it was pure analogue... and the digital-analogue one was rubber strap... want to die lah. such a chio watch, i dont like to use
a bit sian, coz technically, if i really really wanted to i could have bought this and just get used to reading analogue, but i've been using multi function watches for all my life and a bit reluctant to change.... but seriously, i dont mind getting this watch to wear occassionally =(
so in the end i got this gshock watch
which by itself, is really quite a cool watch, but compared to the edifice.... hai... but nvm. this new watch has 5 alarms, one of which has a snooze function, a stopwatch, a timer, and world time =D but apparently according to the casio website they displayed it as a black series, but i only saw this silver one =S
and the analogue is good training for a noob like me who needs to learn how to read one =D
but anyway. my sis came back from japan on thurs... and here are the stuff she bought for me
as you can see it's pure doraemon again, with the exception of the 2 owl hp accessories, of which the red one was for dear (who likes it quite a bit =D)
the dark knight was DAMN good lah... wah liao. craziness... heath ledger seriously left a marvelous piece of work for evbody to remember him by, though after watching the show, the rumour that he got too engrossed in his role, resulting in his death, start to hold some weight, coz he really brought abt the psychopath joker so well that you wonder if he was acting. no offense to jack nicholson, but i think heath ledger came quite close to his standard...
the part where rachel died as well as when batman decided to take on the murders committed by harvey dent... were quite sad, especially when gordon said "he has to run, because we have to chase him... because he can take it... because he is the dark knight". which brought abt the theme of the movie quite well, with batman being the dark and harvey dent being the white knight.
the psycho tests that joker devised, such as making the 2 ships choose whether to die or let the other ship die, provoking batman into killing him, as well as how he managed to corrupt harvey dent were quite thought provoking...
all in all, it was a damn good 2hr+ show.
