-Went out to celebrate vicky's birthday on monday! after the WHOLE DAY of indecision, vickyness and deliberation, which culminated in a very weird vote with nobody knowing what they're really voting for, we decided to go to this place called Minori in UE square, which was woon yang's suggestion coz his friend recommended this place to him and vicky insisted we go some place nobody had tried before. so we all piled onto eunice's van like a group of illegal immigrants/pple who were going to jump out with ski masks and rob a bank and made our way down =D
so here's our chauffeur

meaning the 2 girls (taige was sleeping as always =D)
taige is supposed to be a cheshire cat (SUITS HIM RITE!!!),
mo the dumbo (cough cough),
and vicky's the angel (it's her birthday lah... so we give her face =D)
and woon yang the... er... nvm
so this is what the place looks like:
it really looks quite high class sia. and the food TASTES high class as well. (it'd better be, costing 38 per person)
damn good food sia. the sashimi was so springy and fresh, that even a guy like me who doesnt normally eat sashimi wolfed down all the different species (they tasted so good i almost shivered with delight =D) and taige kept exclaiming "我好幸福啊!" and momo was so touched when i noticed her staring at my eel fried rice with her 咪咪眼 and decided to be nice and asked her whether she wanted some
and i finally got to eat teppanyaki taugay!!! hahah. normally i wont order coz i think it's a waste of money, but since it's buffet =D the yaki tori stuff, like the chicken gizzards, the pork belly with garlic, salmon with special sauce, spider maki(soft shell crab), even the beef sashimi were heavenly sia. the udon was quite special, being the thinner kind, and it was still quite nice =D didnt eat a lot of sushi, though, coz all the rice would have made us uber full. but then there are like 127 items to choose from, so even without the sushi we still ate quite a variety of stuff =D
luckily for woonyang, none of us, not even the girls, regretted listening to him for once =D, even though he ordered stuff like fried chicken wing =D
according to taige, who spent quite some time studying the reviews pasted outside the restaurant, we managed to order all the recommended dishes =D shiok sia! and all the stuff came in cute small single person servings (just that for first round we dumbly ordered 6 of evthing), which i thought was a good idea, coz then you get to eat more, like how we all shared eunice's udon and the kimchi fried rice =D
seriously, i think it's damn good stuff, considering it's way way better than a lot of japanese restaurants out there, and for the kind of quality they serve (we would have ordered another serving of assorted sashimi if we were not so stuffed) the 38 bucks is super worth it, even though it's a bit ex, though that's japanese cuisine for you =D

i shall not post pictures of vicky's present coz i think it's freaking disgusting (eunice is so going to kill me)
haha. but anyway. it was really quite fun sitting down and chatting with the other 5 =D especially when the girls asked taige abt his future marriage proposal and taige said he wanted to parachute down during national day holding to a card saying "i love you, please marry me" =D
and vicky who requires a riot to be organised, and us relentlessly imagining eunice in a sound of music/enchanted scenario, complete with chirping bluebirds with ribbons in their beaks, rabbit hopping by and a huge plot of flowers and grass =D
but the funniest was still mo's "ideal" proposal:
"i'll rush up to him and say 'YESSSS!!!', and he'll say 'what??' " =D damn funny sia.
it's so typical romance-cynical mo =D
i think this eating thing is going to be a norm for all birthdays from now on =D and we were all joking abt being able to eat all the good food in future with the many many years of birthdays of the 6 of us to come, until mo said it'll be over when one of us dies, and i said that there's still the rest of us and dunno who said that we could always have death anniversary or remembrance celebrations =S
